Dear Sir,

I applied dependent visa for my spouse. CHC advised further medical for sputum cultures for M tuberculosis in Aug, she went for this test and started TB treatment from Sep (its almost 2 months now). The sputum test result found negative, however DMP advised for CT scan and biopsy for lymph nodes in neck.

She does not feel any symptoms related to active TB.

Below is the report of CT scan and biopsy
CT Scan report
1.   Fibrotic changes in both upper lobes
2.   Infiltrates in both the upper lobes
3.   Nodular opacities with tree in bud appearance in both the upper lobes

Gland biopsy report
CASEATING TUBERCLOSIS LYMPHADENITIS

Now DMP is saying that is the case of active PTB but while consulting with other doctors, they said that, this is extrapulmonary tuberculosis and not to harm anyone. That is not spreadable and non-infectious. Can you please tell me whether this is Inactive TB or Active TB or PTB.

We are really confused, what it is. Will my wife get dependent visa by filling medical surveillance form.

Please advise, this is really frustrating situation for both of us.
