hi guys,

we landed on 13 January in Toronto as skilled worker. At the moment things going very slowly but thats ok.
Yesterday we bought our first Canadian car. Its an 2005 Dodge SX 2.0 with 45000 today we went to RBC insurance and they want 6800$ for our insurance we have no claims or something. We have 28 years driving expirience and moved from germany to canada.
We exchanged our german drivers liocense to an canadian and have no driving expirience in canada, but alot of in germany.


any suggestions wich one is the best insurance for nemcommers???

Get proof of your claim history from Germany.  Approach a broker to canvass insurance companies.

Definitely go to a broker and shop around for insurance.

we allready have an claim history letter. Yesterday we found an insurance trough an Broker in Daleware ON.

Definitely, absence of Canadian driving history is triggering your premium high. Try online quotes first to get an idea of how much you're expecting to expend. Since you converted your German license into Canadian; you may have to deal with a broker.
