Hi Everyone I'm new here and need advice asap , I visited Canada end of April this year and was going to stay for 6 months but had to return home to the united kingdom earlier than my return date due to medical reasons ( it's a woman thing ) so i only stayed for 5 weeks in total , I am due to return Thursday 4th august and i am really worried that they may ask why i left before my 6 months were up and why  have returned will they  refuse me entry ? i will be visiting my boyfriend and he is going to support me while i am there and we are going to tour Canada and he is going to take me sight seeing just all the normal vacation stuff  , I am a British citizen and do not require a tourist visa , Do i just tell them the reason why i left early and i am returning to finish off my vacation and explain why i had to leave Canada in June as i don't want to lie about anything coz i know that would screw up everything , please if anyone can advise me as i am going out of my mind with worry .
thanks in advance ,

Oh one more thing i am currently unemployed , And also last time they asked who paid for my ticket ... Of course i did myself .....
as i know they ask you about how much money you have with you and so on , and will they ask me how i managed to pay for my ticket
a 2nd time , I am a widow and was left money from my late husband do i tell them that Huh?

Hey Wendy,

I really don't see a problem with it at all.. You don't need a visa and are free to travel to Canada.  I know from experience with travelling to the states a lot that the border officers are supposed to ask you a million and one questions.  Once I was interrogated so bad and was asked completely useless questions that didn't have anything to do with why i was crossing the border.  Such questions as Who do I live with, what do I pay in rent, what do i do for work, how long have i lived in my current house etc etc.  Just answer the questions with honesty.

If your late husband ( I am very sorry ) gave you the money and they ask where it came from, tell them the truth.  They are asking you these questions to try to catch you in a lie and determine if you are up to no good.

Personally, I think leaving Canada early and now coming back shows as a good thing.  It's obvious that you aren't planning on staying here forever, because you've already showed you've gone back to your home country and have ties there.  ( i don't know if the border people would have the same opinion, but that's mine.)

Anyways, goodluck!
And "The Truth Will Set You Free" - remember that!

Thanks for your reply i really appreciate it , Just hope it all goes smoothly i know immigration has to ask questions and know they are only doing their job but at times they ask you questions that can be really personal and not relevant ,
Anyway thanks again ,
