Mods777: Within just 2 months AINP has changed the total processing times twice.... 3months to 5months and now 8 months... So, its uncertain at this time to say how much time they would take after 5 months time... I won't be surprised if this timelines become 1 year after another 2 months...

Its weird they said they received on march 3,2009 , but i sent on jan 19,2009!!
They said the process will take approximately 8 months. How is Divagirl?
Guys, please keep posting your progress.

Thanks,
Yo

my concern is the application receipt date to AINP office, my documents reached at the AINP office on 19th Jan. now i should expect their recipt to be march or something........i m going to be terminated from job in 2 weeks time.....wondering if 19th Feb condition of keeping job on h1b until nomination will be applied to my application....this is something really strange that people are getting receipt later than the original date.

You should have the delivery confirmation on you. If they give you a recipt date of after Feb 19, and subject you to the new rules, you may be able to contest it.

There were some final questions regarding paystubs I think file no. 655, 652 . While Candidate ask officer that "How It will take to make decision" so he said "before the end of day"

thanks. i have the delivery confirmation as i used the fedex service. as soon as i get my file number and their recieved date (if later than 19th Feb), i will be writing them a letter to consider my case before 19th feb. i have the proof of date, time, location, who recieved the packet etc.. I personally feel that they have done this deliberately to put receipt date later or 19th Feb with those who have applied with no pre-assessment and after 31st Dec. They will sure prolong this 8 months to uncertain time.  The more the uncertain job market become with time, the more processing time.

Now, do they want people to come to Alberta or not ? Why did they start a program exclusively for H1B holders and now come with all kinds of strange rules....

not now

I don't think they will get more people in future when H1b will be more streamlined. All those who are applying now are due to uncertainities in USA and those who do not have a long term future in USA. Look at the H1B quota for this year, it has not reached the CAP yet. Same thing will happen for Alberta also, they will not get enough people in future. I do not mind the delay but rules like should maintain H1B until final decision is made is going to backfire.

Just my 2 cents...

We were thinking that people from January didn't get nomination yet. Now we see people like you from December are still waiting. This AINP thing is turning into mess..lots of delays, tons of new rules..but, offcourse, lesser than US GC ;-)

Hi Narsanna,

I thought a few 5xx file numbers had received approval, so I am quite surprised that you haven't received yours yet. AINP does appear to be heavily backlogged, not surprising since they probably did not expect this many applications.

In your case, perhaps your approval is already on its way. If you think not, maybe you can send them a recent paycheck, just to show you are still employed (and interested) in AINP nomination. Hopefully, that should move things along for you. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck!

tang_dynasty /  6sigmaMBB / Shyli / despoimmigrant and others who got file number in early/mid Feb,

I guess  when you recd. your file number the statement from AINP in the email would've been something like "will take 40 to 60 days" to get a decision. The 60 days have gone past for you folks. Did you follow up with AINP?
