hi all,, I recieved unexpected letter from the city I intended to reside in Canada, this letter says "we recieved a list of names from CIC and your name was in the list", have you recieved the same thing?Huh

I applied as a skilled worker as a network admin, and the letter as I first said from Canada directly to me not through CIC....What does that mean?Huh

we understood that the letter is not from CIC...

you might need to tell the source e-mail id...
and what the content is regarding...


the blind guess would be that it is some marketing / advertisement e-mail...

You might have put in your details in some forum, and some one might have used this information to e-mail you...

CIC usually has strict policy on keeping the applicant's confidentiality. So 99 per cent it is a marketing spam mail. It would be helpful if you could kindly disclose the contents of the mail, may be heplful if we receive the same type of mail. Thank you

What was the information in that letter ? Just we received your name ! (i mean what was the purpose of the letter)?

If it was from Saskatchewan it probably is not a fake, if you indicated that your destination was in Sask.
