UK to Ontario

Hi there,

My husband is in England, I am in Ontario.  We met online in July 2008 and we married in July 2009, we are going to be submitting our appliccation next week - after waiting 6 weeks for a medical appointment!

Just curious to see how many others are out there bridging that gap... and what your stories are...

yes my wife lives in uk, on a 2 yr work permit after finsihing school

I sent my application on oct 22, so im waiting for first stage approval, hopefully i hear something in the next week or two.

Hi there

Just a note to say good luck.  London has been fast and good for us.

However, it has been noticed that many non-UK nationals applying via London get called for interview.  This could substantially delay your application.

The item that appears to hold up applicants is when the Canadians need to get background checks done.

I'm hoping London is good to us as well, I believe we have a very cut and dry case.  We have TONS of documentation of our relationship, no previous marriages, clean criminal records and medicals... But fate is in their hands!

Our application is going out in just a few days, we are waiting onthe proof of medical then it sohuld all fall into place.

Thanks for the heads up, that the only thing im worried about, were planning our wedding in July and hope its done by then, don't want to live apart after that..
