The letter we have states that on average applications for permanent residence take 12 months to process and goes on to say if you have not received any instruction from us within 8 months of the date of the letter to contact the office for further instructions.

After the 8 months I tried to e-mail them using the web-form contact us but have had no response, not even an automated response to say this has been received.  After the full 12 months I did the same, no reply and have even sent a letter by post, again no reply.

Is this perhaps that the current application processing times may of changed as when u check these on the cic website they have changed from 16 months to 20 months and now currently 23 months.

Anyone else in same situ or can shed any light please help ?

Juby the published processing times have become meaningless now as there are hundreds of applicants on this forum who has even crossed two years and have not received any received response from London office. They have created a big mess for MI 1 applicants and it will take them long to clear this mess. We can only pray. Nobody is sure of what the future will be for MI 1 applicants.

This situation is only for London office. For Bufalo office cic has already taken steps and have shifted their load to New York and Detroit office. Now most of applicants have started receiving MR's from these offices. I dont know why CIC is silent on this situation of CHC london. You can even see some movement in ND, Singapore and Ankara offices.

How is it applicants who applied after us can be processed before us its ludicrous.  Is there an ombudsman, can we complain ?
Heres hoping they sort out this mess, even if we have to be transferred to an alternative site for processing ie New York or Detroit as mentioned above !
