Hey everyone!

I have a full UK motorcycle license, I'm aware in some provinces you have to re-take and gain a new license however some except you current UK license!

I'm moving to NEW BRUNSWICK and was wondering if anyone can tell me whether it would be a straight swap or not?

THANKS!!  Grin

Well Ontario does not offer a M/C license when you swap your UK one, you lose the M/C part.

Try looking here

Hmm, yes, there are motorcycle licences in Ontario. I should know, I have one. Smiley

What you may be referring to is that the U.K. does not have a motorcycle licence exchange agreement with Ontario. This is true, however, if you get a letter from the authority in the U.K. you can get credit for driving experience and go straight for the full test. This way, you can keep both car and motorcycle.

NB rules may be different, not sure how they work. I'd recommend checking out their website.

As I have over 30 years of motorcycle experience I should be fine, the issue is, will the UK authority (DVLA) issue a letter to that effect.... No harm in asking.

I'd be shocked if they didn't. EU countries are usually pretty good with stuff like that.
