hey all,

was thinking recently as the process for the PR visa seems to take a few months, provided everything goes well.....is it ok to apply for a U35 1year working holiday visa while waiting for the PR to come through?

also doing some searches, was looking for typical reasons why the PR visa process might fail, i have all my docs in order but there is only so much proof of relationship can be supplied.
also reasons for sponsor not to be accepted? i mean if your sponsor is canadian, going to go back and work, has a job offer....why would she(in this case) be rejected to sponsor?

im just looking at the negatives now and getting worried there will be a glitch and prolong the process, but want to go and work in canada while i wait, is that an option?

thanks in advance

Hello,

I am in a very similar situation, only I am the sponsor.

I am a Canadian, who is applying to sponsor my Kiwi boyfriend of 4 years as my common law partner, we are currently living in New Zealand. I have sent away the complete the application to Mississauga (it has been 2 weeks), and have just realised the because my boyfriend is still under 35 he can apply for a working holiday visa. So, I want to know the same thing. Even though we have already applied outside of Canada for the common law permanent residence visa, could my boyfriend apply for the the working holiday visa while it is processing and join me in Canada opposed to us being separated for up to 7 months while it processes in Oz? Will this extend or change our current application?

Please help me get some info about this, it would be very helpful!

Thanks,

CF

Wa4it....what?  There is a "Working Holiday Visa"?  As in I can legally be in Canada and work and be with my fiance while I'm waiting for PR?  Really?  This sounds too good to be true.......

Can someone shed a bit more light on this?  Thanks!
