Hi guys,

I would like to check if it would be possible to apply for a student visa/permit if your working in Canada with a Temporary Work Permit?

I am currently here in Canada to work and have a contract for 2 years and will leave the country before that.  But can I apply a student permit or visa while I am already here in Canada?

Please advise, anyone? BCGUY? PMM?

Thanks,

Neo

You mean you want to change conditions from work permit to study permit?  I don't see why you can't do that but I don't know for a fact if you have to leave to do it.  Probably depends on where you are from.  With a study permit, you also need to prove that you have enough money to pay your tuition and support yourself while in Canada.
