From what I understand you are not allowed to purchase a house when you arrive on TWP.  Silly question this may be, but can you still arrange shipping of your home contents?....Seeing as we are looking to rent initially, we just thought it may be easier to ship our main items over rather than have them in storage.  We are only looking at bringing basics i.e bed, dining table and chairs, three piece suite, bikes ....just not too sure what we are allowed to do or not to do, seeing as we are temporary (initially) as PR is RBVO at minute. Any help or thoughts would be helpful.

You are allowed to purchase a house if you can afford to but be aware that you may have a hard time getting a mortgage when you arrive in Canada with no credit history and you will be asked to pay a higher downpayment than a PR or a Canadian.

You are allowed to bring your stuff with you as well.  I have had many TFW coworkers and many of them have had a container shipped over with their furniture and other household items.
