My boyfriend (23 years old) and I (22 years old) have been together for a year, we've been desperately trying to figure out a way to get him a permit to work and live in Canada, so that we can progress towards getting married finally. He lives in Alabama, was born and raised there.  The only problem is, he's gone to school for five years to get a Bachelors in Human Resource Managment and all related fields of study, yet he is not qualified to work in Canada in that field because of lack of experiance, and the lack of experiance is only because of the lack of jobs in that field all of a sudden, and all jobs that -are- available, require 1-2 years experiance that he can't get in the first place because of the lack of jobs. (A vicious cycle basically)

We are at our wits end at the moment, we cannot feasibly see a way to finally be together without being pushed into marriage all too quickly which is still complicated due to missing financial funds and immigration red tape.

If there is any way we can do this, please can you help us, we're both so sick and tired of the crap we've had to go through only to find dead ends. Any information and step by step procedures that are available to your knowledge, please impart them to us so we can finally get through this.

Vash.

If you have been together for 1 yr. then she can look at sponsoring you as a common law partner.

We haven't been living together for a year though, he's still in the states, we've been going back and forth and we share no bank accounts, credit cards, ect ect.
