I applied March2011 for Re-Enrtry visa and sent it to Seattle while im here in Canada.. How long does it take? Website shows that it takes 14days/30days.. But some people are saying it takes 40 days or more.. Does anybody know/tried applying in seattle? Please share the timeline of your application.. Thanks a lot

you can apply thru mail.. They wont call you to appear for an interview if you apply by mail.. everything is on the website..

according to this forum ita takes 30-40 days including weekends and holidays to get your passport back

that was before (14Days)/.. i applied mine last May11, 2011.. It been a month now. Still waiting and we're expecting it on the 24th of June (30days not including saturdays,sundays,holidays)..

Ship date Jun 17, 2011
Estimated delivery: Jun 20, 2011 by 12:00 PM
So i applied May 11 and they got it May 12.. Estimated delivery Jun20, 2011 .. It takes 40 days including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays..

Today is 6/20/2011
10am. I got my passport from fedex with visa stamped.. 40days exact including sats,sundays, and holidays.. goodluck to all of you.. Hope this would help you guys for your reference. Some in this forum were saying 14days / 30 days.. It takes 40 days to 55 days so better apply early or in-advance when you have future travel plans.

How do you guys know that your passport is sent out from the counsulate?
My application along with my passport was sent in by the lawyers on June 14th 2011.

I just got my visa today.its valid till 27 of dec 2011, I wonder wht should be my return date .
Is it safe to stay there till 20 dec while my work permit is valid till oct 2012.
