Hey,
I have a valid Post Grad Work Permit for next two year. My Study visa is expiring tomorrow. I have couple of questions

1) Is it illegal to live in Canada on expired visa [ Work Permit is valid ] or Visa is just required if you are travelling abroad
2) If I am applying for TRV after it is expired, is there any chance it could be rejected ?
3) Do I need to provide employment proof ? I had a job but do not have any thing at the moment. In transition phase

hi
in my opinion you don't have to worry about your visa.if you have a current valid work permit then you a legal status in canada.
visa is required only to VISIT canada,if it is going to expire its not bad to renew soon but you can work and live in canada if you are already reside canada and u have a valid work permit.
but its also important to renew your visa too.
i had the same situation last year.
my visa was expired on 29april2011 and i had re-apply for try from seattle on 15thmay and i got it again on end of june.
i hope this information will be helpful for you.
i am a temporary foreign worker in canada on valid work permit and residency visa
