Hi
Me and my husband applied for a single entry visit visa from USA detroit. Our application was received on 19th of this months. Can someone give me any idea as to how long it might take? I worried cuz i just read from their website that i need to apply 3 months in advance and i need to be in Canada in the first week of Sept. Do u think that's possible?
I would appreciate any advice
Thanks

Hi,

Summer is very busy period for visa officer. Best thing you can do is to visit Detroit Consulate ASAP and explain your situation. Most probably, you will get the visa same day.Good luck Cool

I just registered to share my experience. I was in exactly the same situation. I am planning to go to Canada in the first week of September. I had applied for the single entry visitor VISA by mail. My application was received at the LA consulate on 7/18. All these days I was worried if am going to get my VISA in time for the trip. Today on 8/4 I received my passport with the stamped VISA. So it took a total of less than 3 weeks for my VISA. Hope this helps.
