TRV for work permit holder in person at Buffalo

Hello, I was wondering if it was still possible to apply for a multiple entry visa at Buffalo and get it within the same day if applying in person?

I did this a couple of years ago but my passport was close to expiry so the Visa was only good for a few months, but someone told me this might no longer be possible. Is this true?

It is still possible to get the Visa same day at Buffalo. Other members wrote they got it same day or next day.
