Outside Canada, you apply for the TRV (as a worker). You'll get your work permit upon arrival at the Port of Entry.

On 18th April 2011, I applied for Temporary Work permit application for myself and OWP for my spouse.
My employer in Canada arranged the representative and they forwarded me all the documents that needs to submitted at the VFS office.
But at the VFS office India, VFS people told that they will either accept TRV or Temporary work permit outside the canada but not BOTH.
As I am applying for Work permit, I asked them to take temporary work permit application.
Will this cause any issue because in some of the sites they metioned TRV is must even though work permit is there?
One more, if there are any queries or medicals required, will there be any communication from Consulate or Passports will be returned back with some status like documents required/medicals required?
I do have Business visa till 2015 and for my spouse it is first time.
