Hello there

I came to Canada in August with my girlfriend on a TRV, and we then decided to get married, because i had to get alot of documents ie: police clearance from the uk and south africa, which would take over 2 months to beable to apply for my wife to sponsor me, (my TRV would expire befor i recieved these documents) We decided to apply for an extension on my TRV so that i could stay in the country whilst my sponsorship papers were being processed. we are still waiting for a response on the TRV extension and expect one late December. but we only sent in proof of our Marriage from the marriage office with there stamp and everything and not our marriage certificate as we only recieved that today.

-SHOULD WE STILL FORWARD THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AS PROOF OF OUR MARRIAGE to help our case?
-DID WE GO THE CORRECT ROUTE?
-IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD DO IN OUR SITUATION SO THAT I CAN STAY WITH MY WIFE WHILST THE PAPERWORK IS BEING DONE?
