Hi guys,

I am a Bangladeshi student living with my wife in Calgary, Canada. Our Canadian entry visa expired and I applied for both of us to the Detroit office.

I have sent my application via Canada post xpresspost on February 8th (enclosed a return xpresspost, too). But, the tracking shows that it is still in Calgary. That freaks me out. Can you guys tell my how long it can take for the passports to come back? I know that Bangladesh is on the list of mandatory waiting. So, if anyone has information about similar kind of applications, let me know the expected time length, including postal delays.

Also, do they also email me when they return my passport back?

Thanks

Hi,

Did you get your passport back? Cos I had mailed my passport to the consulate in NY which was delivered on 9th Feb'11, but I havent received it yet. I'm getting worried over my passport.

Does anyone have any idea as to how long they'd take and is there a means to track it?
I did mail them, but I got a response today that my information was unavailable in their system and could have been returned due to some missing information/documents. Whereas, I never provided my date of birth based on which they did the search in their system. Is this even reliable?

Any responses to this will help many of us in such situations.

Thanks!
