TRV Detroit Recent Processing Times

Hello,

I mailed in my TRV applicationt to the Detroit consulate today. I need to leave to Toronto on 1/13/2012. Has anyone applied to the consulate recently and received your Visa stamp? Does anyone know what the recent processing times look like? I am trying to figure out if it would be better for me to make a trip to the consulate in Detroit and follow up on my packet rather than waiting.

i have applied on  30 november and still waiting as they r very rude and arrogant to
give you any kind of information. i dont think so u will get sooner.becs i suppose to
visit my country this 15 dec but due to those lazy embassy .had to postponed.

detroit embassy takes about min 22days for processing...i applied mine on nov 4th n i got it on 26th of november...

I applied for the transit visa on 25rd Nov, .......although i had sent all the docs on the website they still sent my docs back on 5thDec asking for "Proof of employment".......i did not understand why did they want my proof of employment but I sent it back nevertheless on 6thDec.......still waiting for my transit visa.....I am supposed to fly on 24th which I think I am going to miss.....I agree with Samir.....they are NOT very helpful on the emails....

hi frd can u tell me what docs they needed for TRv.
as i put 5257E ,checklist,studypoermit copy,passport, college letter.
is it ok that i didnt put family form.?

I think that should be OK....but you never know man......

by the way, if anyone wnats to know, I visited the Detriot office today to get my passport.....they are very strict about this - MAILED APPLICATION CANNOT BE COLLECTED IN PERSON......SO DONT EVEN BOTHER GOING THERE IF YOU HAVE MALIED YOUR APPLICATION....

ok thanks .so i dont have any other way thn wait..my frds told me to put on
buffalo but i thought here will be faster than buffalo.
