Hello
My file is with Entree Canada too. My file dates back to Dec 2001, is that logical.  I have an interview on 12Feb07, I did not do the medicals yet.  All documents up to date + IELTS test.  Again, is this normal??

Hi, I am an Armenian carrying the Lebanese Citizenship and applied at the Canadian Embassy in Damascus through Entree Canada in Beirut.  By the way, congratulations. I hope all goes well with you Mike.

Hey
I am lebanese too and my file was processed in Damascus , but i got it in a short time cause i applied under the Provincial Nominee Program . With respect to your case, I think that your time line  is so reliable and you shouldn't worry cause damascus is slowest compared to other offices . They have been recently using a new criteria whcih consists of doing the bg/security checks first and then sending the medicals forums so if u pass the interview i guarantee that you will have the visas after 2 months not more.
By the way , what is the name of your lawyer here in lebanon?
Regards,

Hi khadero

I highly recommend David Cohen at canadavisa.com

He is my immigration lawyer and I am so happy so far.

I had my interview waived thanks to his professional associates, and I have received full and expedite support anytime I requested for.

Good luck in your searching process

Hello Friends,
I wanna know what special thing do Lawyers do. I believe there is nothing that can be done. It is so simple. CIC has its own rules and they judge the case on those rules, they take their time, no body can do any thing about it.
As long as we have correct documents, we meet the requiremensts, there is nothing to worry about. Only  problem is TIME...WAITING.....that is beyond out control...even Lawyers.

My friend SoftnCool

You are absolutely right; every one can apply by him/her self; there is no doubt about it.

I would like to share with all of you guys how come I choose a lawyer instead applying by myself.

* I had zero experience on Canadian immigration stuff (it is not easy by the way) it isn't yet.
* There were so many things on the documents to fill that wasn't clear for me
* I wanted to be couched through the process by an expert
* I would not like to receive back all my stuff just for a minimum error, such as a missing NA somewhere on the papers. (It seems ridiculous but it happens)
* I had a lot of concerns that the lawyer cleared for me
* The lawyer did everything on my behalf.
* The list could be long…

In the other hand of course I could pay for. It is not cheap but it worth.

Once again, it was my own decision
 Cheers!!!

In our experience, hiring a lawyer is a decision that you, and only yourself can decide. Immigration policies and procedures are not easy to understand esp. if you don't have any background just like us. This is the main reason why WE chose Campbell Cohen. Maybe to other people, the application forms are easy to comprehend, but not for us. Yes, you have to pay for their help but Im sure it's worth it.......Goodluck.

By the way, we also hired the services of Campbell Cohen.

Cheers.
