hi guys i was woundering if i can cross the untied states border with
my canadian PR card my husband and i want to go and see a game show
in seattle, or i should have my nigerian passport with me, what do you think guys.

You'll definitely need your passport. Unfortunately you're also going to need a tourist visa because your passport is not from a visa exempt country.

Are you the one from Accra? Even though you have a PR card and it allows you to enter Canada, it will not change the rules for crossing into the US. If you are not from a visa-exempt country, you will need a visa to enter the US. The same would go for any country that requires certain countries to require a visa to enter their country. Just because you are a PR of Canada doesn't mean it exempts you from the requirements of entering other countries based on their rules and the passport you currently hold. Hope this helps.  Smiley

Just because you need a visa doesnt mean it is hopeless... The longer the PR has been in Canada the stronger the visa app becomes... I believe after a year most are approved... If you apply before a year but have the strong ties to Canada that they are looking for (family, job(career), house, car)... All the semblance of a normal life... The chances aren't too bad...

If you apply the day after you land, it probably won't be a positive decision for you!
