Travel during in-canada Common-Law PR application

Hello all,

I am currently in Canada, awaiting my common-law spouse PR application. However, I need to travel to Poland for 3 weeks.

Is this possible? I have a valid multiple entry visa (till aug 2007) and a valid TRP (aug 07)?

The CIC website says re-entry is up to the discretion of the officer? What are my chances? Is there anybody with experience in this matter? Has anybody been denied?

Any information will be helpful, as I try to make up my mind.
