Hello,
i did my PR landing in to Canada on Oct-13-2011.
I am told the PR card will take 4-6 weeks to be delivered to my home address, i have to fly to India on Nov15-2011, so there is a 50% chance i might miss getting my PR card before i leave the country.

I understand i need either the Travel Document or a PR Card to enter back to Canada(Dec11th-2011).
I am soliciting your suggestion on one of the following
1> Can i have my PR card mailed by my friend to India as soon as it arrives(risk of not reaching me before dec11th)
2> Applying for Travel document from delhi
     a) if yes for travel document, can i go to delhi and get my passport and travel document back the same day, the website and call center isnt too helpful, i couldnt talk to them unlike here in canada.

1.  You won't get it in time, the processing time is 39 Business days, which is 8 weeks + mailing.  So you can expect it to arrive at the address in Canada about the 16th of December.
2.  Yes, you friend can courier it to you in India, but pointless if you won't be there.
3.  So you will have to apply for a TD at New Delhi.  You use VFS visa services. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/pr_return-retour_rp.aspx?lang=eng&view=d#Travel_Doc
4.  Processing time: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/processing_times_tr-durees_traitement_rt.aspx?lang=eng&view=d

Thanks for the reply,
I had one more query and was hoping you could suggest me with that.

I am going to India next month to get married, I understand I cant sponsor my fiance as a visitor and she can enter to Canada only as a PR once I sponsor her. Since this process will take 4-6 months can I have my family friend sponsor her visitor's visa much before we marry and then later I start her PR process from Canada ??

Many Thanks Again

1.  You can try, but New Delhi usually smokes these ones out and it will most likely be refused.
