Please I need some advice here. I have a 6 yr old daughter and she is using her fathers surname but we were not married. Right now I am married. My daughter and I will fly to Alberta this July.

mj16 ... we are same boat but Embassy manila requesting us a travel declaration of accompaying child in Canada.  where are you from?

Im here in manila. I already got my visa. Im just concern about the immigration in the airport incase they ask for it. Some said I dont have to cause I am the mother and I am travelling with her. Im really confuse right now.

you need a letter from the dad speaking from personal experience(my nephew's mom need a letter to travel with her son and my nephew and his mom share the same last name) if u can get in touch with the dad a simple letter will suffice not because u r the mom that doesnt mean u wont need it in canada there are always cases about parental abduction not sayin u r but from the law's POV
