I am sponsoring my Peruvian husband.  Prior to moving here to live with him I traveled here two times to visit.  I need to submit proof of my visits.  I plan to submit the hotel receipts but they are in Spanish.  Do these need to be translated???

Also, we are now married so I was planning to submit some of the wedding receipts as I have seen in other posts that some people do this.  The wedding took place in Peru so, again, all the receipts are in Spanish.  Is it necessary to translate them?   Are they useless in Spanish?

Yes, any documents you submit that are not in English or French must be translated.  However, you probably don't need to provide certified translations of them as they are not legal documents (like a birth certificate).  So if you can, translate them yourself.  But double check your Region Specific Guide about that.  Some offices are picky and want every translated document to be certified, legal document or not.

Its better to translate any proof / evidence /document which you are providing aren't in english, otherwise its good for nothing(for them) as they won't be able to understand or read them. SO things like chats, hotel reciepts and all you can translate it urself. but yet again as "rjessome" said to check region guide......you know, just to be on a safe side.

I translated those things myself. No need to get it certified.
