I'm going to need to have my police check and some other legal papers translated from German to English.  Does anyone know where I can get this done (I'm living in Canada), and how much it would cost?

Try calling the German/Austrian/Swiss embassies or the local consulates and ask them if they have the names of any translators. Going through a big translation company can be very very expensive.

Thanks, Swede.  I went to the German Consulate website, and found a list of translators there.  They do seem to have reasonable rates.  One less thing to worry about  Smiley
