Just wondering if anyone has experience with translating documents for a spousal application in El Salvador. It seams that there are no official translators here in El Salvador. What we can do is have a notary notarize a translation done by an unofficial translator. Has anyone been through this, or something similar? Thanks!

BTW, I just spoke to the Canadian Embassy here and they told me that we can have anyone translate (she provided me with a list, though) and then have in notarized. This is what they have been doing for Canadian Consular services, but she can't guarantee that it will work for Immigration.
We have contacts here that can translate (a friend with perfect English) and a lawyer who could notarize it. This is not a 'certified' translation, though. Does anyone know if this would be accepted?
