Hello All,
What is the best way to transfer funds in excess of 10K from a Kuwait Bank to a Canadian Bank? Would wire transfer do, as i've heard the receiving bank deducts some charges or bank drafts?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

Google is your friend.

Whatever way you do it, someone will want payment, somewhere.

I have used HSBC Premiere, with no issues.

Wire transfer is the best way to go.  Western Union will only wire $5000.00 at a time.   You will have the charge from the bank initiating the transfer and...any other bank it passes through before the final resting place will most likely charge as well. No one will give you an estimate of the final charges because they say they don't know how many banks it will go through.  One note is to make sure you are explicit in the amount  you want wired.  Mine got mixed up and I ended up paying an additional $600.00 because my bank converted the amount into american dollars, instead of applying the amount stated in canadian dollars.

Hope this helps.
