They kept the passport for 22 days. My brother got it back after 26 days from the date the passport was sent.
I am pursuing the goal to immigrate to Canada as well under Federal Skilled Worker program.

good luck everyone

Hey guys.

I have the same problem here.

Tracking system says that they received my passport on October 11. But i still dont have any news from them. I e-mailed them because i need my passport in December.

If i declare my passport lost, I need 4 weeks to get a new one from my Consulate.

What should I do? What happens if I ask for a new one (because this one is lost) and then I receive it? Could I have two passports? LOL.

To follow up on my own post,

Los Angeles informed me that Canada Post returned my passport to them. They asked me to confirm my address. I dont know why the *censored word* Canada Post did not deliver.
Los Angeles agents were kind enough to re-send it through Fedex, this time.

It is sent out today. Hope i'll get it this week.

Hi all,

Finally, I'm done with the PR process. Today I received my passports back from the LA consulate. Following is my timeline. BTW, I had to return to India early 2011 beacuse my H1B expired.

Applied for AINP: December 2009
AINP Nomination: June 2010
Applied to CIC Buffalo: November 2010
Medicals & AOR: June 2011
Medicals sent to Ottawa: Late July 2011
PPR: November 3 2011
Passports sent to LA Consulate: 2nd week of November
Received passports back: Today

This forum was a great resource and I would like to thank everyone who contributes actively.

Good luck to all those who are waiting.

Hi,

my PP was sent to LA office on 14th and they received it on 16th.  my online status says " Decision Made" on 22nd.  As advised, I used to USPS express mail and have the confirmation number as well.  Today is April 5th and they have not sent my passport back.  I am kind of worried...I appreciate, if anyone can reply me..

Do they send the passport once in a week?  If so, anyone knows when..?  Appreciate your reply.
