Transcripts from Panjab Univ Chandigarh.

Dear Friends
When I applied to Panjab University Chandigarh for my Transcripts they refused to give me by hand and informed they will send to the CHC, New Delhi directly. But I am supoosed to send all the Transcripts with my full application. Seniors having experience from Panjab University may kindly advise.

Dear frnd,

Show them the checklist, for indicating that sealed transcripts to be included with final application by the applicant only for sending CHC. I think they are treating your case, same as that of Students for study visa, in that University directly forward the transcripts to aboard unviersities.

I have already shown them the checklist and discussed with Registrar of, the University but of no help. Concerned officials are very rigid and not willing to give sealed transcripts to applicants on the plea that a large number of frauds are taking place puting us in trouble/ court cases. They have also printed "Transcripts will not be given to the applicants" on the Application Form for transcripts of the University.
Senior members particularly having such experience with Panjab University may kindly advise.

If they insist and you feel there is not other way you can convince them. 
Try to have them put your file number on the Transcript at least(im not sure if CHC will accept it)...!!

dont worry! i had same prob with punjab univ. let them send transcripts to chc -nd. after 1 week ask univ clerk abt the dispach number and date of dispatch. when u will send the documents to chc-nd atach a letter mentioning the dispach number and date . they accept it this way in my case. best of luck

hello ppl..i m having the same prob..i need transcripts to attach to the application of my sister...but there is no file no..n we need to attach these transcripts to the original application. PU on the other hand does not give transcripts in hand but directly mails.  Hence i dont know ehat to do??

Hi Shahi,

I have also done my B.E. from Panjab Univ.  The guys at IIT Bombay where I have my Masters from didn't even take a week to send me the transcripts at my address.

But PU administration really sucks.

I still have to figure out how to tackle the PU guys.

I will talk to some people there and let you know. Probably if we show our concern they will understand.

Both of us are in the same boat.

And this time I am waiting for my DELF A1 result for the past 2 months. Never in the entire history has the result been delayed the way it is happening now.

God knows when my papers for the application will be complete.

You all people who needs transcript from university you can do one thing, complete ur  application and thereafter go to chandigarh and request the concerned officer to send their official guy and despatch the complete file along with sealed transcripts of that person. I personally feel that university people will cooperate u.

Guys Ajit and Meher... thank u so much for replying..but my prob is a bit more complicated..!!...i need the transcripts for my sister rather than myself..n according to PU..i cant apply for her!!..silly!!

Hey Ajit..as far as CSQ is concerned notarized photocopies just work fine..well worked well in my case..i got call for CSQ interview..without transcripts..and for DELF send them the photocopy result u wud have recieved that comes generally within a month!!

I understand. Let me know where your sister resides. I went to chandigarh for my wedding last week but was very tied up. Couldn't even get the time to visit PU. I am currently working in Mumbai.

Now, even my brother is not there in Chandigarh. I have to get it done through my junior now. Let me know where your sister resides. Probably we can get it done together.

And the case is that I prefer transcripts because I am completing 55 points without the interview.  So I wish that if all papers are perfectly in order, the interview could be waived which would speed up the process.

Well my sister is abroad and i think i ll do away with transcripts as without file no. will be difficult to send the transcripts. Let us see..Good luck to you!!
