I am from Calcutta too and completed graduation from CU. I have only submitted my mark sheets and certificates and no transcript. It worked, I have submitted my passport for stamping.

The guide for FSW clearly states that we need to submit official transcripts in a university sealed envelope. I am talking about Buffalo office. I am not sure about London. Are you saying that transcripts are not required for London office?

Calgirl, when you said that you submitted your marksheets, did you get them notarized/attested?

Dear Dhirda,

Like 'calgirl', I am from Calcutta too.

And she is perfectly 'correct', u don't need to send transcripts unless CHC asks for it. I have 'neither' Notarized, 'nor' sent Originals, of anything, Degrees, Marks sheets, Emp. Letters, nothing... And have got my Meds & submitterd RPRF.

Presently awaiting PPR.

Regards.

All copies were notarized. There's a list of people authorized for notary in the FSW guide.

Ok, I am totally confused by your answers.

I initially thought that the process may be different for London CHC. I checked the FSW guide for London and it also mentions the same on page A-3 (see below). So, why do you say that university transcripts are not required? FYI - I am applying from Buffalo, USA office.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS
For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
• Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or
diplomas;
• College or university documents: certification of completion and the
graduation degree, diploma, or certificate issued by the college or university and
the evaluation committee;
Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university sealed
envelopes
.
• Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications
certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer
Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)

DearDhir,

I guess u have the right to be confused with my posts (I don't know abt CalGirl). I am a way back applicant (old case). I haven't read any guides till date. Thus, u might be right with the transcripts fiasco. But, not only me, I have TODAY checked with many applicants, as close to yr 2009 cases... NONE OF THEM have supplied transcripts.

My case was thru a Consultant (I believe in them. As I never had/have the time to go into all these details), and I had only supplied photocopies of my certs to them. What they did, how they did, I've no clue. And again, TODAY I asked them. they also confirmed that they haven't supplied any transcripts or notarized any thing. They also stated that neither they have ever done so for anybody. Thsy confirmed too, that sometime CHC asks for it; and then only it needs to be done. They might be wrong... but then, they are an old hand (since 1993) with worldwide presence & have successfully sent 32,000 applicants to Ca, Aus, NZ.

Now, I'm confused too.
You may like to hold on for other's posts before u act.

Regards.

I applied in 2009. I didn't send any transcript as it wasn't mentioned in the letter from CHC where they provided the list of documents to be submitted as full application. It was mentioned in the letter to send notarized photo copies to educational documents and original documents to prove work experience. I did exactly what was mentioned in the letter.
Also, I never said I applied from London. I am from Kolkata and my visa office is New Delhi.

Hi,
     I applied at CIC London but i am basically from India. I too submitted only notarized mark-sheets, certs., etc. I am waiting for my PPR now. Meds done.
      If they want things in a sealed envelope, they will ask for it. But my opinion is that they won't ask for it as long as your credentials are solid- good, verifiable work exp., etc.
      Don't bother with getting sheets from univ. now.
