You dont have, had transcripts already?? Sorry but i could not understand your question, if staff is on strike, how long strike could be?? if its a University, i dont think it will last longer. So wait for couple of days, but trry to explain us, you are getting your transcripts "fresh results" of you just want to get new transcripts for cic? if you already have transcripts, just go ahead and submit them in university sealed envelope, if its not possible to obtain transcripts, then try to explain cic about that.

Hi Abisola,

Draft and Write a Letter explaining the situation while submitting every other required and requested Document. Put in Every Document relating and regarding your studies, degree's, dean of faculty letter etc. In fact, anything to show you studied in the "UNI" you claim. Request in your drafted and written letter that you are in the process of getting your transcripts and as soon as you get them you will submit them.

Omo, make you farabale, Relax.!! These people are human beings like us. If you no explain the situation to them, how you expect dem to know.

Take a photocopy of the transcript and the degree that you have at home and notarize it.

Send it along with a letter that the university staff are on strike. You could also send a newspaper clipping to show that they are on strike.
Mention in your letter that you will submit the original transcript as soon as you get it.

Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

In addition to the suggestion above, if you have a copy of your year book or your graduation list of your set, you can include it and specify where your name appears. Remember , the Nigeria Uni situation is abnormal and you have to explain to the fullest for a non- Nigerian to understand you.

I will also suggest you get a letter from the University on official letter head stating the situation confronting you, stamped and sealed.

Package yourself very well and specify your prayer in a concise way and just like Booby said, dem be human beings. just farabale.

All the best

Abisola,
At this stage of the process ASUU most not be the obstacle. Just do as you have been advised in this forum.
From the news going round ASUU may soon call off their strike ans NASU too. Just continue to gather other document while we pray for ASUU to call off heir strike.
Let us know as events unfold.
