I will be applying for Federal immigration and I understand we need transcripts in University sealed envelopes.
I graduated from a smaller university from a backward state of India. The University website does not say anything about transcript and I know for sure that they do not give duplicate marksheet unless the original is lost or destroyed (need police report etc).
I will ask someone to visit University and pursue this. question is --- what the transcript should include ? Should it be exactly the official marksheet which I have ? Or can the university mention the subject wise marks in a Letter Head under seal of Registrar or VC ?

what is the difference between marksheet and subject wise marks?
I am not sure how to answer your question but others will answer and you clarifying the above might help some people answer.

I am not an expert at Canadian Immigration.
Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

Thank you all.
@ rupeshhari : what I mean is -- the official marksheet is in a pre-printed form in a specific format. What I can try to get from University is typed marks in a white page (University Letterhead of course) which will have a different format/layout then the official marksheet.
@ mohamr13 : Is it just photocopies attested by University and then inserted in University envelope and sealed ?

kcmgr1,
some indian universities issue a separate certificate with courses, marks for each course, weightages, duration, name, reg number, overall grade, or what ever!
while many indian universities provide the 'attestation' of marksheets/transcripts with stamp and signature.
However for both types of processes, ensure that the resulting documents are placed in an envelope, pasted, and seal placed at the portion of envelope where you open it, along with the signature.
This completes the entire process of obtaining transcripts.
just an add-on info: some universities ask for originals for verification; while other donot (they verify with their records).
Hope it helps.
