I am getting ready to start the process for immigration and i have been trying to read all kind of info in this forum to help me with the process. While searching i notice that some members say that traffic violations can be a problem and others say its not unless it's a DUI. I would appreciate if any member who has the right facts on this issue could help me out ,i wasn't really worried about this before but now i have some doubts .
In 2006 i was stopped for driving without a license ( forget my wallet) and no insurance( United states) . They stopped me at first for the no insurance which i didn't know it was suspended until my husband told me he forgot to pay it when i was being questioned . Thank god the officer was a kind guy he let me off with a ticket but told me he had to impound the car because of the no insurance.I end up with a fine of 500 dollars but no finger print or arrest on the case ,which i am thankful for because some cops do arrest people for that .So will this be an issue at the time i apply for PR ? And also do i need to mention this incident to the visa office ?

Don'tworry this offence is not counted, you are safe. speeding or traffic violations will not count as crime , untill you get accident if you faulty someone dead in accident your case pending in court and you imprison for some days simillar to this will be count as crime.
normal traffic violations are not count as crime.
