Tourist Visa, how much?

Hi to all!

Im a Filipino, me and my husband are planning to visit Canada for at least 3 months only, this will be our first time to apply for a tourist visa. we can't stay there for more than 3 months because we are both employed here in the Philippines.

now my questions are:

are we qualified even if we i don't have realtives in Canada?
how much money in the bank do we have to show in order for us to prove that we can support our stay there?
how about the ticket, how much?
we'de like to rent a house during our stay in Canada, can someone give me an idea about the rental rate?

You don't need relatives in Canada to qualify to visit.

But your plans for a visit should make sense.  I really wonder whether they'll believe you intend only to visit, but you're planning on renting a house.  Doesn't make sense to me.  Maybe it will to the embassy staff.

Ticket prices change all the time depending on which airlines, how far in advance you book, etc.  You'll have to do your own research.
Renting a house depends on where you want to stay, the dates, the type of accomodations.  Again, you'll have to do your own research.
And all of this is going to impact how much money you need to spend.
