Tourist Visa for my boyfriend

Hi,I'm working here in Ottawa under Caregiver program.Im still on TRV.Is there any possibility that my boyfriend in the Philippines can come here in Ottawa to visit me??Am i allowed to invite him here although I'm stil holding a TRV??How long he will going to stay here??and what are the steps to  be taken to process his application in the Philippines??if I'm going to make an invitation letter what would be the best reason o tell..please HELP

There is a possibility to get it but even greater possibility that he will be refused a visit visa when they know he is coming to visit a girlfriend because they think he will stay illegally.  You can still try it though.  It would help if he can show that he has to return to the Philippines, letter from an employer or something like that.
