  Hi Ja77,
I would like o find out if t he 6  to 12 months includes the time your application was sent to Nova Scotia?  I started the process in January 2009 and i have only received Aor after full application to Visa Office. It therefore means that, my application will be more than 12 months.

My E.case is not also changing. It is still showing the same old information rom  Nova Scotia.

lets hope for the best.

Thanks

sorry, i dont know the answer to your question. in fact, i too was, the other day, thinking if the total processing time includes the time taken by CIO-NS also or not. maybe someone else can share his comments about this.

Guys, I don't have much experience. But, my understanding is that the 6-12 month is after your case is transferred to your localo visa office. After that it is a game of the particular visa office. Going by a few statistics, it looks like at least 12 months for Buffalo, 6-8 New Delhi, 4-6 for Islamabad, 3-6 for London, etc. The slowest seems to be Buffalo

Hi Garian4u,
Thanks very much for helping with the suggestion of the time needed to complete the application.  In my case, it was stated in my AOR it would take on average 18months.  And they said if i do not hear anything from them then i can contact the office directly.

One other problem i am having is , i am living in Europe as a student and i applied to the visa office taking care of my country of nationality. This is because i was afraid , that if i finish my studies and out of  my student status, i might run into trouble. So that is why i choose my country of nationality visa office, it is good even if i return to my home country.

But now my letter was written by Abidjan and was stamped and posted by London. I am so confused now who is processing my Case , is it London or is it Abidjan my country of origin visa office?  I have asked for suggestions several times and no body seems to have any idea. I am so confused. Was thinking whether i should write to London and find out since the mailed My AOR to me.

Waiting if any one has any idea or experience with this kind of situation and if i should write to London to find out.
