Toronto is good for international students?

Hi,
I am from Mirpur,Pakistan.I am BS Software Engineer(cgpa 3.45) and targeting York university located in toronto.My cousin is in canada,he lived 6 years in calgary and now he is in some other city,he is saying that calgary is best.I have applied in calgary university but I need a backup plan as well.Toronto is good?I will get good work during my studies?

You are from Mirpur,Pakistan. Toronto is a beautiful city, but expensive. It's a good place to find work. York University has good reputation. All the best.

Furthermore, Toronto is in province of Ontario and applicants are getting there medical calls extremely late. I would suggest you try to apply in some other university other than situated in Ontario which will increase your processing time plus once you reach Canada you can easily switch to university to university as well.

There are lots of jobs in Toronto and so as the competition. And remember, you will have to compete with graduates from not only the one of the very best universities in Canada but also in the world - University of Toronto. And for the same job, if you are a grad from some colleges or other universities, no matter what people say, UoT grads will always get the preference.

And talking about "Toronto being expensive", you haven't heard about the expenses in Calgary I guess. P.S. It is one of the richest city in Canada. So you can definitely guess the expense.
