I'm trying to get a feeling for which areas of Toronto have better schools.  I found this site called the Fraser Institute which publishes Report Cards for all schools:
http://www.fraserinstitute.org/reportcards/schoolperformance/ontario.htm
I went over those scores and plotted the better ones (8+/10) on a Google Map so I could see if they were concentrated in specific areas.  (I skipped the religious and French immersions schools though).  In case anyone else had a similar interest, feel free to take a look:

Hi,

The map you have created is really helpful. I have couple of questions:
1. What is the signifiance of the blue and pink color?
2. Does this apply for kindergarten schools? My son is 4 years old, and I am looking at a good school district to settle in so that he may be able to go to a good school.

Please advise.
Regards

Gozer,

Excellent Work!

As a father of four school going kids, this will help a lot. I was reading and reading fraser report again and again and making my own notes, but you have made this work simpler.

Have you also done any study on the rentals or house/condo/apartment prices in these areas.

I am landing in August 2010 and initially will be staying in a furnished/motel before moving to a permanent place based on the schools for kids.
