TOKYO VISA OFFICE

Does anybody here has experienced or know how the processing in Tokyo,Japan works. My husbands' papers is currently being processed in Japan even thoug his not a Japanese citizen but he work and reside in Japan thats why we decided to process it there instead of Philippines where he is a citizen. We have received my sponsorship approval on Feb 1 and have not heard anything from Japan Visa Office yet. They say the time line was 5 months, its only been a month but I am getting so impatient and not knowing whats going to happen next drives me nuts.....I wish that they would at least send us an acknowledgement letter that they have received our documents.....

My husband is planning to apply for a TRV by the end March.Do you guys think they would allow them to visit me in Canada while they process his application. Sad
