HELLO
I  was processed in Tokyo this  year.
Every thing went very smoothly.Visa  Officers are very professional.
No interview for me.
Even Visa Officer called me that i want  visa or wants to redo-medical if i am not able to travel within 4 weeks.

Also i got my passport back next day after submitting passport.
Its hardly took 5 months for all.

whats  yours nationality? if you are Japanese you  can  even get processed in 2 or 3 months.

Hope it will  help.
