Hello..

I am an Engr here in the Philippines. 34 years old.I had decided to to apply for Skills Migration since i passed the points assessment. But i only 67 points (passmark). I completed the necessary documents for visa application
and probably file it next week.  I am married with two kids.  I am only the
one to file for visa since i don't have enough money to include my family.
Is it possible to launch the application of my wife and kids latter on if
i already have the money or just petetion them if i'm already in canada.

Just making sure .. you absolutely must include your family in your application.  The only thing you do differently is to indicate that they won't be accompanying you at this time.

When you are later ready to sponsor them, you can do so.

thanks thaiguy, of course it is indicated in my app. form that they will
not accompany me.

In case i'm already in Canada, how many mos. or years does it will take
before sponsoring or petitioning them?

You can sponsor them as soon as you become a permanent resident.

No problem applying without your family but it is always better if you can raise the fee as you will still wait for some time befor they will join you even if you apply as soon as you get to Canada. Also considering your processing time and that of your family i think it will be better to include them. Note that either they go with you or not you will still pay for their medical.

All the best.
