Yesterday while I was talking to my husband. I've god help us through this process and he is approved for his PR. He can transfer his money to our joint account that we have in Canada.
He was told by his bank in Lebanon they can't transfer any money unless receiving some kind of form from the branch in Canada explaining why he wants to transfer some money.
I Know if  you transfer more than $10k they would want to know where that money coming from.
My question if you are granted PR. Do you have to provide them that type of thing.
His bank in Lebanon refused to transfer even any small amount of money to his other account in Canada unless providing them with the form that I have to go and ask the bank for.... I don't know what type of form they are talking about?Huh/

Marlena I know with the Bank of Montreal they ask for specific forms for a non-resident to transfer funds from their bank overseas and also something from a lawyer.  They won't transfer the money otherwise

Thanks Rorita and Bonchuk.
It still weird because when we opened the joint account the financial officer told us all you need to transfer the money to our account is abviously the account # which he provided step by step.
Anyways I'll go and ask them on what the best way.

Thank you Boncuk for your wishes, best of the wishes for you to..Smiley
well, I was talking to my husband and told him, I guess we have given them everything they asked for  , and lot that they haven't even asked for, so we are suppose to hear a good news , if God wish soon. They will get all this document on Friday I guess, so in my opinion, I should hear something from them in the beginning of June,...so I am crossing my finger for the end of June to be done, unless they ask something new...
I was wondering, if God wish, and they asked for the passport. I am going to send it by DHL, why they can't send the original document that I sent (witch was a mistake, they say send copies unless asked for original...but we acted typically Lebanese and we didn't read..Smiley) , so why they can't send the passport with the most lovely stamp on it along with the original paper in DHL , since I am paying the expense?
