Timeline for spouse background checks!

Dear members,
I would like to know if background checks for dependents like spouse are of different time length to principle applicant? Moreover, mine PPR has been postponed as my status changed. I am waiting for her medical.
I request seniors to respond on it???

I believe BG checking time line is same for all applicants either main or dependent.
