Hey Sunshine, In my case i am getting no information about my file status ..even on ecas..So i sent 2 emails to them..but they don't reply to the emails. they will only reply if they think that ur ques is genuine and u cant find the specific information..otherwise if u email them asking about the ques like where ur file is ?...what is file status?..how long will take to reach a final decision..  ... They won't reply to the emails like this. I hope they reply to ur email... Also I am so upset with them..I have been visiting their site since long now but there is no information about my case on Ecas..I dont know wats going on with my case. I dnt know whether they received my medical, passport and other documents..i knows nothing. this is such a pain.   |

hi dildarbar, This means that To protect the health and safety of Canadians, as well as reduce and prevent excessive demand on Canada's health and social services system permanent or temporary resident applicants may be required to undergo a medical exam. So that if u have any kind of contagious decease which will effect the health of Canadian people, they won't allow u to enter the country to save the residents. A background check or background investigation is the process of looking up and compiling criminal records, commercial records and financial records of an individual. To ensure that the protection and safety of Canada is maintained, various sources are consulted for the completion of background checks, including but not limited to visa application forms, intelligence information, criminal conviction records and immigration records. Which simply means that they just want to check that you don't have any kind of criminal history and will be helpful in Canada's progress. Also they meant that they cant tell you the exact time period for which they will be investigating about ur case. It can vary from case to case. Hope that was helpful..?  |

You can check your status online after you put your file in New Delhi, it means after nomination from Canada. Is it right? or You can check it before than that too. Let me know. I got my file number after 1 week when I put file. It's in June. Thnx |

I applied for nomination from manitoba when I was in England measn on 15th sep 2010..then my course finished and I came back to India in February also my case was transferred from London to New Delhi in feb 2011. so it took 12 months for whole process...I havent received my letter yet so cant say that I got visa...but really want to give u guys this good news..wish me luck. |

Hey , Thanks. My family lives in Manitoba so I applied in Family stream immigration on 15th sep 2010. Family stream applications get priority over skilled worker category. My application took 12 months. hope everything goes well with u guys toooooooo... |
