Hi jp If you have read my previous posts, you would be knowing that CIC Delhi sent my passports back in march after keeping them for seven and a half months. I did not even ask them for passports. Like you, now I also have two file numbers EPXXXXXXXX/BXXXXXXXXX. My Ecas shows In process since 09,2011 but it can be seen only by the previous number i.e. EPXXXXXXXX not by the new number BXXXXXXXXX. What does this mean? Regards: Amritjot |

Well there is actually not much checking for how much cash u r having for your initial settlement, however sometimes immigration officers can ask how much u have, but you can tell him i have some cash & rest plastic money ( take any debit card etc.) but personally if u have some 1 to care for u there, u need 5-6k of initial days, but take as much as possible. hope that will help. I don't wanna discourage u but i think u need to keep an eye on the new file number now. hv u sent them any mail, if yes what hv they responded ? its a long time u r in queue. |

hi Amritjot , I would like to know when did u resubmit your passport? and weather they asked you to resubmit the passport? new file no. is not a isuue, their system is canging T4 they are giving new no. |

as my financial condition is not good and while submitting my application i borrow funds from my friends.
Now i am preparing for landing funds. Is it possible to send back money to my home country after done landing? or after getting my PR card.
please help as soon as possible coz u know exchange rates are very high in these days,so please help me.

Hi Gsm, As i told in earlier post, its not a problem how much funds u take with u. I am saying this as my cousin landed on toronto airport last month, 26th march. n she told me they don't even ask how much money u r taking. But still u can keep the funds into ur account n take a debit card with you. by chance if they ask you about funds u can tell them u have plastic money with you & can withdraw anytime. n give a cheque to ur friend who will withdraw money. hope that will solve ur problm. |
