DON'T DO THE MISTAKE OF SENDING PASSPORT BY MAIL, ITS ILLEGAL, EVEN IF YOU SEND IT AND DUE TO SOME REASONS IT GETS DELAYED TO GET YOUR PASSPORT BACK YOU WOULD BE IN GRAVE TROUBLE, ITS BETTER TO GO TO INDIA OR SEND IT BY HAND THROUGH SOME PERSON WHO IS GOING TO INDIA, ALSO GIVE THAT PERSON A LETTER WRITTEN AND SIGNED BY YOU SAYING THAT YOU AUTHORIZE HIM TO DELIVER YOUR PASSPORT. Hey pari congrats.....
I also applied in family stream n I got nomination letter From PNP, everything is going smooth. I m in canada rightnow and I m not able to go back India when they ll request my passport. If I ll go india n wait for my stamping I can lose my job here, so my question: can I send my passport via mail at Delhi ? And they can mail me back here in canada?
If anyone know abt this situation pls guide me.
I appreciate ur help guys.

I SEE WHAT YOU SAY BRO, BUT ITS ILLEGAL TO SEND AN INDIAN PASSPORT BY MAIL FROM ABROAD, WE NEED TO SPREAD THIS OWRD, THERE ARE ALREADY MANY PEOPLE WHO DID THIS MISTAKE AND THEY ARE IN TROUBLE. AND ITS STUPID ON CIC'S PART THAT THEY DO NOT MENTION ABOUT IT AND ITS STUPID ON INDIAN PASSPORT OFFICE'S PART THAT THEY DON'T MENTION IT WHILE ISSUING IT In India Blue Dart is accepted Passport for delivery with sure short time period and there are two more courier company in india are accepted passport but Blue Dart is only company which are currently active in such passport delivery and also deliver our passport from immigration visa office to our address so there are courier company available for passport delivery

UPS courier will deliver the pass port if the delivery address is "An embassy ". this is not illegal at all. I did this, but "YES" definitely there is a RISK. UPS courier have special way of handling these type of courier.
But if you ask embassy to send the passport back to CANADA, they don't do that. they say that it's illegal. So sending from INDIA is illegal ( to a personal Address) , but to an Embassy it's Ok.
Embassy will send the passport back to your india communication address. in my case they dropped a mail to my saying this.
"Dear Gollu, Sai Venkata Ramesh,
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
Please be advised that your passport will be returned ONLY to your Indian mailing address and NOT to the Canadian address or any address outside India as the Indian law prohibits the sending of passports in and out of the country by mail or courier.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

I am not sure about UPS but even if they agree to mail your passport still its a risk bro. I would still NOT recommend others to send it by mail, rather send it in person. And what after getting your passport being stamped, how would you get it back as you are yourself saying that its illegal to mail passport from india to abroad. Same to everyone this is really sad and fustrating to all as they are not working for issuance of visa this days I really dont knw what they are doing this days.... If they are prepare for Xmas than they should have a Xmas leave from 25th in which time period they can do shopping and all but rest of the day they just have to issue visas for those are under waiting list so that they can also celebrate their Xmas with full of joy |
