You should have gone through the topic "Buffalo's Processing Time"... Anyway, I applied under Ontario-PNP and Buffalo received my PR application on Jan 18, 2011. I'm still waiting to get a renpose (generally, an AOR or Med Req). I even know people who applied in Nov/Dec of 2010 and still did not hear anything back. Nowadays, it's taking around 30 weeks to get a response back from them. So, you have to keep patience. Meanwhile, you can check with your bank whether your draft/money order has been cashed or not.

It's generally 6~8 weeks from the day they received your application. It took 6 weeks for me; but again the processing time was 12 months which has changed to 13 months recently. Therefore, it may take little longer these days. But you can always check with the teller whenever you go to your bank for personal banking.

That's good. To my understanding, it means that you did not make any mistake filling out your app. And your info are in the que to get into the system for processing.

It may take upto 2.5 months (10 weeks); I've seen cases like this. Hopefully, your cheque will be cashed shortly. I dont know where my paper is at
How did you send it? You must have a tracking# or something so that you could make sure that it's getting to the right recipient/ Buffalo.

Buffalo has a notice saying that they will not accept any walk-in service for temporary visas/permits duing June 6~10 in order to eliminate some of their backlogs. (ref: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/contact-contactez.aspx) This may delay your cheque to be cashed. Besides, it has been just over 6 weeks for you. So, you hold your patience.

This is right from Buffalo website: The Right of Permanent Residence Fee in these classes may be paid at the time of application or at any time during processing. The Right of Permanent Residence Fee must be paid before the Visa is issued. If you did not pay RPRF at the time of application, you can pay it anytime. But I would suggest not to wait till the last minute (when they ask for PPR to seal the immigration visa). It takes time to cash any sort of draft for them as you already have experinced with your application fees. So, it's a better choice to send the RPRF with the Medical. I will do so as well.
