Timeline for FSW Application to CIO-Sydney (and Visa office Buffalo)

Hi All,

I submitted my application to CIC Sydney on 1 March 2011 and received an email from CIO Sydney on 8 April 2011 that the eligibility review has been completed and the application will now be transferred to Visa Office Buffalo.

Its been almost 3 weeks now. When I should expect to hear from Buffalo office now.
Buffalo visa office will send me another AOR?
When I can expect that they ask for medicals from me?

Anyone from Canada submitted application to CIO-Sydney (with Visa office Buffalo) please share time-lines.

You have to wait approximately 5-6.months for 2AOR.After that 6-8 month for Medical test and 3-5 month for Pasport request and PRR fee.

   You are lucky...for 1 month waiting for your 1st AOR, pre june 26, 2010 applicants waited for almost 3 to 7 months for that. hopefully your 2nd aor will be expidted too. Goodluck...pre june 26, 2010, now still waiting for their 2nd aor so far its near 6 months but still nothing in the email on ecas ..buffalo received already..Goodluck.

hi angelpot, i think the reason why it some for some pre june-2010 applications longer is that, CIC was in the process of changing and introducing the new 26 June 2010 rules. Just a guess. Good luck to all.

I am a post June filer to Buffalo.  I applied in Dec 2010 then I got my PER from CIO in March 2011.  My E-cas was available weeks after and as of now, still shows RBVO.  No news or any update, excpet 2 weeks ago, address suddenly appeared on my E-cas.

So, per above guessing, I might hear from Buffalo in June/July then another 5 more months for MR??  Will Buffalo be communicating with us through e-mail or postal mail?

Thanks for the update. Yes, I heard from my friends (who applied last year to Buffalo) that we will hear from Buffalo office via email.

Hi Guys,

If I remember correctly.. the mail which says that your case has been transferred also says that you got to send documents along with end date for sending document.

My case is handle by a canadian consultant so I may be slightly wrong here..

But the mail will say exactly what to do next
